Last Day in Romania

Today was our final day in Romania! We woke up at 4am, threw the last of our things in our packs and headed off to Bucuresti. We arrived in Bucuresti about noon and spent the day exploring various parts of the city and we even went to the Museum of the Peasants. I enjoyed being about to see the museum after living in Romania for so long. It was interesting to see how much of Romania’s old culture still continues in the lives of some of its citizens. After the museum I spent the next several hours following Justin around the city looking for the Art Museum, which we never did find, but we had a lot of fun looking. We took a nice stroll through Cismigiu Park (one of the biggest parks in Bucuresti) and rested under some trees next to the pond. It was a typical Romanian day overcast and a little drizzly, we thought it only right for our last day. I’m really glad we were able to spend the last few hours of our time in Romania exploring its capitol. We really grew to love this country and although it may sound cheesy, a small piece of our hearts will forever remain in Romania.
