Don't Forget Your ID!!
I was up and ready for work right on time today, which doesn't happen very often, so I was excited to get to work earlier than I have been, but Justin and I needed to go get a few papers notarized and they do it free on campus so I thought we could just all run by the notary quick and then I would be at work by 8:30am tops. That was wishful thinking... We got the ASB (administration building) at 8:10am only to find out that where we needed to go was the WILK, so we headed there. Of course Jackson wouldn't let us carry him very far, he had to walk so that made us get to the WILK about 8:25am. The lady who notarizes was about to go into a meeting and wouldn't be able to notarize anything until 9am, blah! The guy at the desk told us there were several other notaries on campus and he would call one and see if they were available. Well he called the Library and the lady was available. I thought this would be perfect because I would be able to just walk right into work when we were finished saving a bit of time. Again I was wrong. We got to the Library about 8:30am and the lady had just stepped into her office with someone and the guy at the desk said he didn't think she should be too long. Well 15 minutes later, he told us that maybe we should try someone else because he didn't know how long she was going to be. He called another on campus notary who said they were available at 9am, by this point it was 8:45am and we thought we've been waiting this long we might as well get this done. We had parked the car at the ASB, which meant it was parked illegally, but we thought we'd only be in the building for 5-10 minutes, but now it has been over 30 minutes and we were worried about getting ticketed so Justin ran to move the car while I watched Jackson in the library. When he got back the lady in the library still wasn't out of her meeting so we headed back to the WILK to meet with the other notary. We finally got into see him about 9:10am when he asked for our ID's...and guess who forgot her wallet today?! That's right, me! ah! So he was able to notarize Justin's paper, but not mine. I wasn't upset it was just a little ironic that I was about 1.5 hours late for work and I didn't even get my paper notarized! What a crazy morning!
